David-Allen Jones (born March 31, 1981 in Newport, RI) was raised between Providence and Newport, RI. Better known by his stage name Bear Jones is a well known hip hop artist, songwriter and phenomenal performer. Recognized for lyrics that focus on family, love, spirituality and the pain/struggles of his hard youth, makes others relate. Many that have heard Bear perform, describe him as being a conscious hip hop artist who makes songs that send a soul felt message which he continually succeeds to ignite and maintain a significant underground following up and down the east coast. While seamlessly blending many genres together and refusing to be limited/labeled only as a hip hop artist, Bear Jones has been involved with the entire Hip Hop movement and underground circuit for over a decade.
