Anthony Navarro
AcousticAbout
Anthony Navarro, a multi-genre artist hailing from Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, has been a force to reckon with in the music industry. His journey began at the tender age of 6, performing R Kelly’s “I Believe I Can Fly” in front of a crowd of 1,000. A natural talent, he excelled in school choirs and as a percussionist, laying the foundation for his rhythmic mastery. After serving in the Army, Navarro transitioned from metal to hip-hop, finding it easier to navigate the industry as a solo artist.
In 2019, he signed with Denver-based label Rhymesick and worked alongside multi-platinum artists like Big Vito Banga from Nappy Roots and Haystak. He toured nationally as direct support for the Mouth Full Of Diamonds Tour with Bezz Believe. Despite the highs, Navarro learned valuable lessons about the darker side of the industry, eventually buying himself out of his record deal and parting ways with his management.
What sets Navarro apart is his fearless approach to music. He’s not afraid to rock the boat or trigger conversations. For him, music is therapeutic, a way to process strong emotions. His lyrics have not only stirred controversy but also saved lives, making him a polarizing yet impactful figure in the music scene. He believes in the power of friction to spark debate and, ultimately, progress. Navarro is the physical embodiment of Loki and the spiritual embodiment of Hunter S Thompson, a combination that makes him an artist like no other.
