Alfredo Dias Gomes, was born in 1960 in Rio de Janeiro. He began studying drums at age 10. Drummer and composer, he played with renowned Brazilian artists such as Hermeto Pascoal, Ivan Lins, Marcio Montarroyos, Ricardo Silveira and many others. He also participated in the band Heróis da Resistência.
In his solo career released 13 albums: “Serviço Secreto”,  "Alfredo Dias Gomes", "Atmosfera" , “Ecos”,  "Groove", "Corona Borealis", "Looking Back",  "Pulse", Tribute to Don Alias”, “Jam”, “Solar”, “Jazz Standards” and “Metrópole “.
