There is no greater start than between the church pews. It’s how so many great artists got their start from the late, great Whitney Houston to Usher to Mr. EGOT himself, John Legend. Now Ke’Shay Love is planning on adding her name to that iconic list with her rousing R&B, and latest single “The Real Mrs. Parker.”
Performing has been a part of Ke’Shay Love’s life for so long that it’s innate at this point. A true entertainer, she has performed throughout the Bay Area at several Juneteenth Festivals, as well as at Indie R&B concerts in other parts of California, Atlanta, New York, and Texas. Every time she steps on stage, she feels more and more at home and embodies one of her biggest inspirations, Tina Turner. She notes, “Tina keeps the crowd wanting more, and is a storyteller many can relate to.” Ke’Shay Love feels she too is a storyteller with her take on R&B that draws back to the sultry, smooth ways of the ‘90s with artists like Jill Scott and Mary J Blige ruled the airwaves.
She hopes to do the same with her March 2020 release, “The Real Mrs. Parker.” Her latest single showcases not only her maturity but her love of music. It’s the true definition of grown and sexy. She’s not here for the kiddie stuff because she’s making music for grown people who know what love is. “The Real Mrs. Parker” is Ke’Shay Love’s first release since her 2018 debut, ‘Love Evolved.’ A culmination of her life experiences, she poured her heart into songs that represent love, and the evolution of it; good and bad. She notes, “Don’t expect to hear any sad, male-bashing songs” from her. She’s all about love, and the reality of it. Not the shade.
Her positivity and honesty has led her to great places so far and has allowed her career to take her further than just music. Ke' Shay Love is also a thespian who has graced the big screen, as well as television productions from California to Atlanta. She plans on continuing her acting as well as her music. Her ultimate goal for 2020 is to get out on the road and perform from coast to coast, and then take on the rest of the world.
