About

My journey started with me singing in Church and in the Webster Elementary school chorus as well as being a member of the only elementary school marching band in the country in the 1960's, the "Webster Elementary School Marching Band" under the direction of  Dr. Robert Braden (Richard J. Murray High Marching 100 Band Director) and Miss Hale (Majorett director). I was also the student director of the Webster Elementary School Concert Orchestra. I spent many nights listening to the radio to groups like The Temptations, James Brown, and the Beach Boys as well as many other Motown artists. At the age of 12 I began singing with street corner groups, 50's Do Wap and 70's R&B was the theme. As a teenager my mom bought a piano for my sister and I began to tinker with it and I was able to start playing chords and I wrote several songs on that old piano. I began to sing with  street groups, Church choirs, and with an Acapella Quartet group.
