Biography

Biography

D’Mazzio Hill, officially Mazzi CGA is an independent music artist born and raised in Columbus, GA. He recognized his passion for writing music in the 7th grade where he met his Godbrother “Frankie, aka Frank’D”. Frank’D at the time was a performer and rapper apart of the Atlanta-based group ‘4WAY Boys’. The energy Frank’D provided as an idol and brother-figure gave the lead to Mazzi rapping and writing hundreds of unpublished songs. It was also around this time that Mazzi began gravitating more toward music. Some influential artists included Mike Jones, Big Sean, and Drake.

After high school, joining the military, and returning from Afghanistan in 2012, he decided to take writing to a new level. He started a music collective called “CGA Team” and began recording and releasing music. CGA Team is a musical brotherhood including Frank’D, LilDTheKid, Freda, and Mazzi’s younger brother CGA Thad.

In 2017, Mazzi co-founded “CGA The Label” with his child-hood neighboring friends “Moe” aka LilDTheKid, and “Fred” aka Freda. Now, ‘Mazzi CGA’, released a demo project titled “This Is Me” as the label’s first official product. This entire project was recorded and mixed by Mazzi CGA during his online attendance at Full Sail University. In 2019, he released a single titled “Let It Out” that received great feedback on Facebook. As a result, Mazzi CGA released his debut EP “#InTheMeanTime” in late 2020.
