Biography

Alfredo Dias Gomes, was born in 1960. He began studying drums at age 10. Drummer and composer, played with renowned Brazilian artists. In his solo career released 6 albums solo: “Alfredo Dias Gomes”, “Atmosfera” (with the special participation of Frank Gambale) , “Groove”, “Corona Borealis”, “Looking Back” and “Pulse”.

Background

Alfredo debuted in the band of Hermeto Pascoal at the age of eighteen. Later, he played and recorded with renowned Brazilian artists and now Alfredo is dedicated to his solo career.

His greatest influences are Billy Cobham, Chick Corea, Larry Coryell, among others.

Fact Sheet

Alfredo toured the United States, Europe and for Japan playing with Brazilian singer Ivan Lins.

He was part of a Brazilian rock band in the 80’s, ˜Heróis da Resistencia˜, recorded the band’s second album in Los Angeles at Ocean Way studios.

In his second solo album ˜Atmosfera˜, he had the special guest appearances of guitarists Frank Gambale and Dominic Miller (Sting).
