Names Christopher aka Rey De. Puerto Rican mixed thug born in Paterson, NJ. Grew up as a product of his environmentS, from Paterson to Essex county, bergen county, to boroughs in NYC, STICKING AND MOVING to survive from childhood to adulthood. Plugin and listen up, get ready to go on a journey with Rey De. Notoriously known as “The Nicest”, he lives up to the given name with his intellectual metaphors. Through his lyrics, Rey De paints a picture. The ears listen, the heart feels, as we return to real Hip-Hop. Real Life, Real Originality, Lyrical, Suspenseful, Thrilling, and Intellectually driven with BARS. With his different delivery, you engage in on his experiences, struggles, and alter ego who seems to want to pull him back from the depths of darkness he came from. Try and decrypt and decode the hidden bars and gems in the midst of a constant battle between who he used to be and who’s he trying to become. Good or evil, then or now, right or wrong, God or self. NEW ALBUM OUT NOW! “The Nicest” Album is Available on all major streams. It’s my debut album. The motivation was to show my versatility in creating new content. The latest single is a song “ I Got Dat ” which has had over a million streams. The second single was more of a story song called “ Jennifer “ (based on a true story). Unlike the 1st single which is more of a radio spinner, “Jennifer “ and other tracks become riveting and compelling storytelling based on my experiences from the street.
What inspired you to write this release?
This Album has been in the making for about 5 years prior to the 2018s release. The actual reason why the project was completed was the change in motivation. In 2014, procrastination died, and encouragement, with a side of wrath (from seeing other artists make it that were less skilled), erupted from within. So not only did I have to surf threw about 200 songs in the vault, I had to create new content and opt into relevant reimagining.
Describe the writing and recording process
Shout out and R.i.p to “Basquiat on the bveat” for all the exclusive beats. Unlimited beats from my producer helped much. With a 14-year-old dell computer, a condenser mic, Pen, paper, desk, chair, mirror, Henny, weed, and a prayer……. I delve into my memories, stories, situations, mindsets, add a bunch of hat sauce and created. No tv, no newspapers, no outside interference. I mixed and mastered everything thing myself.

With Covid-19 and the loss of my manager and producer, the only thing I’m doing now is completing my next project called
“THE DARKSIDE”
As an indie artist, how do you brand yourself and your music to stand out from the rest of the artists out there?
Reincarnated. Far from basic. Czar rated. Crazy bars aided with the star of David and served with bombs air raiding. My arms are ingrained with harsh statements. Scars tainted with God n satans haunted hatred. I still offer an awesome haven for any of y’all I’ve persuaded to play in the dark places I talk called my mosaic arc of heinous thoughts. Don’t balk because the chalks just waiting to draw adjacent to your body parts. I’m playing.
