I am AlbySound from Rodeo, California. I identify as a rapper from the Bay Area. My music is about a tone, a feeling, a vibe, maybe some solid bars here and there.
Talk to us more about your latest release
My current release is Space Love. Originally Space Love was called Crank it up. We completely changed the track and hit up Kajmir Royale for the beat.

What inspired you to write this release?
A various amount of women walking by until one comes by leaving me on cloud 9 inspired the record.
Describe the writing and recording process
I always take a long time to write a song just because I do some much during the day. I just sit down and write phrases in my mind. Take a break and repeat the process until a full song is written. I then practice the song over and over to figure out the cadence and then record the song.
Any plans to release a video?
Any plans to hit the road?
Once the pandemic situation is figured out completely shows will come.
As an indie artist, how do you brand yourself and your music to stand out from the rest of the artists out there?
What I do is post inspirational quotes in my stories and post. I am very transparent about being myself.
Who have you been listening to lately?
I have been really into Roddy Rich, Caleborate, Jessie Reyez, H.E.R., Ari Lennox, and Earthgang. Earthgang kind of reminds me of Outkast.
Who are your biggest influences?
My biggest influences of music are Timbaland and LL Cool J.
Tell us about your passions
I have been reading a book, a friend of mine self-published called “And So It Was.” I have been reading that book recently, and it is quite good. I like to read books when I have writer’s block as well.
What else is happening next in your world?
I working on some music as well as dropping a project called Less Is More.
