Tell us about yourself and your music

My partner Claire and I founded Rockinchair Productions 2020 earlier this year. Claire’s late husband, Jeff Soulman Brown, left us many original compositions that our group “SOUL DE LUNE” has recreated. We’ve assembled a group of legendary musicians who are former James Brown Band members (The J.B.’S) who are now known as “SOUL DE LUNE”. The core band members include our Musical Director, Ronald “Rock” Laster (Rhythm Guitar, Producer), Fred Thomas (Bass, Vocal Arrangements), Tony Cook, ( Drums ), Lisa Rushton ( Vocals ) & James “Keith” Jenkins ( Lead Guitar )
The genres include Funk, R & B, Soul, Gospel, and Hip Hop.

“SOUL DE LUNE” has recently released 5 songs. Our world premiere release is our video “LOOK AT THIS WORLD” which was created by our brilliant editor, ROY SCHNEIDER who has worked as an editor at Madison Square Garden for over 20 years.
Other releases include “DO YOU CARE”, “LET’S START ALL OVER, “ LA VIE EN ROSE” & “THAT’S LIFE”

What inspired you to write this release?

Our several releases were songs that were written many years ago. Our Band “SOUL DE LUNE” were the best musicians to bring the sound up to today’s 2020 experience.
We’ve been inspired by some of the world’s greatest icons such as The Godfather of Soul (JAMES BROWN), FRANK SINATRA, EDITH PIAF, AZNAVOUR, PRINCE, MICHAEL JACKSON and others.

Describe the writing and recording process

All of our songs were recorded with live instruments this year at Solar Sound Studio in Atlanta, Georgia under the Musical direction of Ronald “Rock” Laster and Sound Engineer Vance “Vision” Hornbuckle.

Any plans to hit the road?

We plan on doing all that asap when deemed safe. We are working on putting together virtual performances.

As an indie artist, how do you brand yourself and your music to stand out from the rest of the artists out there?

“SOUL DE LUNE” is a unique and eclectic group of a multigenerational family of musicians ranging in age from 14 to 75. When you listen to “SOUL DE LUNE”, you will discover how we dramatically stand out from the rest.

Tell us about your passions

We are fighting for Racial Justice & Environmental Justice. Our goal is to create music that is totally connected to the world outside today. We’re committed to spreading the LOVE BOMB in our quest to make the World a more just and verdant environment. We are committed to bringing all people together through our sound and lyrics. “SOUL DE LUNE” is the perfect archetype of the genre it creates!
