R&B’s Rising Star

R&B’s Rising Star

Tell us about yourself and your music

I am a free spirit for sure, with the purest heart you’ll ever come across. My music is a direct reflection of those qualities. I look to inspire and empower women. With words that hit right through to the heart, but relate-able enough to mean& women can enjoy it.

Talk to us more about your latest release

My latest single ‘No Patience’ has been doing really well! I’ve gotten a lot of great feedback from it, about how catchy it is for sure. I even had a few men come to me and tell me how dope it was!

What inspired you to write this release?

This song is based on a real-life situation. I was dating a guy at the time who just didn’t see my worth. He treated me as if I was a piece of meat and the song is kind of just me saying “I don’t have time for that. I have goals to accomplish, millions I would like to see! There’s no way I can have the patience to deal with a man treating me less than what I deserved”. From there, ‘No Patience’ was born!

Describe the writing and recording process

I wrote it in about 30 minutes. I was on SoundCloud scrolling through beats, and I came across Derrick Ingram’s profile. I was looking for an up-tempo beat that wasn’t too “hip-hop”, and that’s how I found the ‘No Patience’ beat!

Any plans to release a video?

Any plans to hit the road?

I have an upcoming show on the 24th of January to start off 2020 right! This is just the beginning for me so tours will be coming soon!

As an indie artist, how do you brand yourself and your music to stand out from the rest of the artists out there?

I think the way that I put my words together is one of the major things that make me stick out. My tone, vocal strength, plus the way I write. All of these things about me are sure to label me as a “Hit-Maker” in the near feature.

Who have you been listening to lately?

I listen to a lot of rap actually (LOL). Trap music, 90’s R&B, 2000’s Rap and even music from the ’80s.

Who are your biggest influences?

Beyonce’, Tina Turner, and Whitney Houston

Tell us about your passions

Music. She’s my first love, my biggest inspiration& my therapy. I fell in love with writing when I was about 9, starting off with poetry. It quickly developed to songwriting with my family background in music. I love acting as well, that’s definitely something I’d like to get into later down the line.

What else is happening next in your world?

WORKING! Staying busy networking, meeting industry professionals and just growing the brand that is Ralesha to it’s fullest potential!
