My name is Quentin James also known as Sargeant Q. I am 33 yrs old who is from Providence Rhode Island. I have a college degree and I have been in the music industry for 10 yrs.

My latest release; Cry, Pt.1 is an emotional song that has touched so many people especially those who have reached out from Georgia. Instead of Fighting and Looting, I decided to take the pain out through a pen to the paper, out my mouth, to the mic! Beyonce’s producer, “Beau Vallis” mixed and mastered the track at Columbia Records.
What inspired you to write this release?
What inspired me to write this release was all the pain and suffering I have witnessed around America. The justice system has failed on so many levels, and it’s left up to us to correct it! Not all Police Officers are bad! I keep saying; nobody is listening! My American people; “as I cry” Instead of taking your anger out on the police, Take it out on the Justice System! The courts the powerful agencies! God Bless America!

As an indie artist, how do you brand yourself and your music to stand out from the rest of the artists out there?
I am a rapper who raps in English and Spanish. I have a saying that I yell out on every track that people know when they hear it, Sargeant Q is on it! That saying is,
“ATTEN HUT”
Who have you been listening to lately?
I have been listening to Bad Bunny, Noriel, Ozuna, and my favorite of them all, Nicky Jam.
Who are your biggest influences?
My biggest influence is Nicky Jam! He has touched my soul in a way nobody else has!
Tell us about your passions
My passion is Music and Poetry. I love anything to do with playing instruments. My biggest passion is helping others to achieve their goals and hopefully their dreams.
What else is happening next in your world?
Working on a record deal from Atlantic or Columbia! So if anybody out there reads this from these labels, sign me to a good deal, and I’ll show you what PROFIT Means!
