Never Doubt Love

Never Doubt Love

Tell us about yourself and your music

My name is Barry Love. I took on the last name of “Love” because it totally represents the music I will always release.
My concern musically is that lust has taken the place of love in today’s music. So I sing about how love should make you feel,
about relationships and the power of words and meanings. I have inspired long ago from music greats like Barry White,
Lionel Richie, Michael Mcdonald, and Bill Withers.

Talk to us more about your latest release

My latest release “Don’t come for me”, was solely created to be a voice for those who are bullied or mistreated or portrayed
in negativity. Specifically speaking, a student in school being bullied by another, police brutality, overzealous media coverage
in negative tones, and being too inclusive in people’s privacy, etc.

What inspired you to write this release?

The inspiration for this release was driven by the brutal police brutality that has been viral in the last few years.

The notion that society accepts this and has for decades is unacceptable, and the time for that has run out.

Describe the writing and recording process

For me to be a songwriter first, I usually create and compose the music around the lyrics so I can intensify

areas in the song that are important musically and make it personal.

Any plans to release a video?

Any plans to hit the road?

I look so forward to performing my music and making appearances as soon as this country’s pandemic is over. But I will do my best to continue to provide inspirational music while we heal.

As an indie artist, how do you brand yourself and your music to stand out from the rest of the artists out there?

The freedom to express yourself honestly musically, without any agenda except for being true to the song,

is exactly my brand, as an indie artist. I truly believe in being authentic, and that stands out in any genre.

Who have you been listening to lately?

I listen to old and new music. The veterans like Peabo Bryson, Ojay’s, Issac Hayes.

The new crew. Roddy Ricch, Lil Baby and Da Baby, Moneybagg Yo

Who are your biggest influences?

Lyrically, my biggest influence is Lionel Richie. No one can write a pure love song like him.

Musically, Barry White. Hands down the maestro in musically setting the atmosphere with romance.

Tell us about your passions

A passion of mine besides music is computers. As a hobby, I have repaired and reprogrammed computers

for years. When music and computers became one, I was in heaven.

What else is happening next in your world?

Empathy. Feeling and healing. Taking all of what’s going on in the world, with emotions and situations,

and expressing it musically…from now on.

Thanks for an awesome interview, Barry Love
