Tell us about yourself and your music
I am an American artist originally from Baton Rouge, Louisiana. Born and raised in a single-parent home from a mom of 5. My music has influences of hip-hop, rap, r&b, and soul and it can also have a mixture of multiple genres in one song.
Talk to us more about your latest release
“So Clean” is a highly energetic hype song that is bound to have you on your toes from the very beginning of the song where the trumpets come into the end where I’m shouting out my city Baton Rouge, Louisiana.
What inspired you to write this release?
Each song I write is a challenge to myself of how different and how diverse I can be with my music. I grew up listening to all types of music however when I first heard the track To my single I just knew I wanted to create a song where the party-goers and the clubbers to bop to on their weekend nights. Music is supposed to be fun and I had so much fun with this one.
Describe the writing and recording process
Before I write a song I like to listen to the track several times almost as a form of meditation. Usually, I get a particular feeling with all of my chosen tracks that let me know “This is the one” then I write to it. Each song I take a different approach in writing, deciding what I will be first, and in others my hook comes along as I’m writing my verses. The studio is just as easy as I record the song in multiple ways. The hardest part yet the funniest for me is making my mind up of which way to release it.

Any plans to hit the road?
As we have witnessed this country suffer through a pandemic, the thoughts of touring have diminished from many artist’s minds. Hopefully, our country returns to a state where fans can enjoy seeing their favorite artists at concerts, and only then will I travel for my shows. I would love to check out Houston, TX. It’s been at the top of my list for a while lol.
As an indie artist, how do you brand yourself and your music to stand out from the rest of the artists out there?
I make music that I love and hope to draw in only the people that love my type of music as well. My music is strictly for my fans and therefore my fans can expect a consistent style of music with an elevation of sound with each new release. That alone will hopefully separate me from many.
Who have you been listening to lately?
My favorite artists had always been Lil Wayne, Eminem, JayZ, And Nicki Minaj. I can listen to these artists’ entire discography and it’ll never get old. Today, from the new era of music, I listen to DaBaby and Megan the Stallion. They are two very dope artists from the new generation and I have grown a lot of love and respect for both of them.
Who are your biggest influences?
My mother has played a big role in a lot of my decisions in my life. Way before I started pursuing my music publicly, my mom called me out at a family function about me singing and rapping lol. I remember sitting at a card game with my siblings when you mentioned, “Let them hear that late-night song,” which is now my very first single. During that time I had no clue she even paid attention to me as I practice my songs on the other side of the house. That was the song she and my siblings fell in love with immediately and pushed for me to release it first.
Tell us about your passions
I’m a family man. Anyone knows me knows that I love my family very dearly and am willing to do anything for them. I enjoy all of our parties and holidays with them.
What else is happening next in your world?
This August I’m releasing my very first extended play (EP) that tells a passionate story about myself and me and extremely excited about it. I’ll just say it’s heartfelt, motivational, and it bites.
