João Fuss – Classical guitarrist

Tell us about yourself and your music

I’m a classical guitar teacher and I’m a composer as well. I compose original music for classical guitar and I do arrangements of other styles of music for classical too.

Talk to us more about your latest release

My latest release was the “The Best Of ’80s for Classical Guitar” – it was a set of eight arrangements inspired at the 80’s hits.

What inspired you to write this release?

I love the 80’s and I think it was very interesting to put the energy of the 80’a music into a classical guitar.

Describe the writing and recording process

The process to do any arrangement is; in the beginning, analyze the song and found a good melody. If the song doesn’t have a good melody do not work. After, you have to think about fill that melody, what kind of harmony you have to use.
When the arrangement is done, you write the tab and the partition and then you rec the audio and vídeo.

Any plans to hit the road?

My next release is a ser of eight arrangements inspired on Romantic music: The Best Of Romantic for Classical Guitar”

As an indie artist, how do you brand yourself and your music to stand out from the rest of the artists out there?
