Jose Castro is an up-coming Latin Artist, writer and singer who has released his New Single Song entitle “IT IS TRUE” a romantic Salsa song.
Jose Castro has been singing for over 10 years. He wrote the song IT IS TRUE and several other great songs, with his talent is moving the hearts of many people with his inspirational lyrics and music. He has a strong passion for music and he continued to put a lot of hard work into his productions.
Jose Castro is the oldest son and brother to a close-knit family of five children. He was brought up in the Gospel of Christ by his family and has adapted a blessing of knowledge and wisdom. He also has a love for creating movies. He graduated from Hunter College with a B.A. in Media Communications in 1994. He produced several independent films and television programs on cable TV.
Talk to us more about your latest release
My latest release entitle “IT IS TRUE” is a romantic song in spanish (salsa). I wrote the lyric to this love song. This song talks about giving thanks to God for blessing his blessings which everyone deserve to be happy when they find their love soulmate.
My music video “IT IS TRUE” illustrated the love song through their dancing. Similar to the west side story film but in my unique style.
I am getting positive feedback from many fans who listened to my song and music.

What inspired you to write this release?
What inspired me to write this release entitle ” IT IS TRUE” ? I am single and I am still searching for the love of my life it has not been easy but when I found that special person my heart rejoice with God giving thanks and praises.
The song “It Is True” is a blessing for me and it will be a blessing for millions of people and I hope it will touch the heart of everyone that listen to my song ( IT IS TRUE).
Describe the writing and recording process
Writing this song took a few weeks to put together I took my time to make sure the lyrics was well written with my expression. I worked hard in putting this song together and by the help of God I am satisfy with
the outcome. The recording I have a very great team of music engineer and that help me with the music and arrangement, mixing and mastering and it turnout great. I recorded my vocals in one session in one day
and I was very satisfy with the outcome of the entire production.
Any plans to release a video?
Any plans to hit the road?
I performed in New York City local area, community street events and lounges and clubs.
At this time I do not have any tour coming but I am open for booking and invitations.
As an indie artist, how do you brand yourself and your music to stand out from the rest of the artists out there?
My name is Jose Castro AKA JC SUAVE. I have my own brand Trademark Clothing line “LINE IT UP” , JC SUAVE and Sexy Me Apparel which make me not only a artist but a business man. When I perform have my own unique style and I make sure I am dress to impress. My voice is unique which make me standout among other artists I sound like my own self I do not imitate other artists so this makes me unique. My lyrics are clean, positive and inspirational and my music is all about things that matters in life.
Who have you been listening to lately?
I have been listening to Marc Anthony and Victor Manuelle and other artists who sing romantic song as well.
Who are your biggest influences?
My biggest influence from the family Esther Castro she is my sister she has been singing Christian music songs for many years and it motivate me to want to sing. I also look at many other artists and I said to myself I can do it to.
Tell us about your passions
Music is one of my passion and I work hard to make sure my song and performance is at it best. My other passion when I graduated from Hunter College was to become a film maker. I have a passion for film making and I like writing my own screenplay. I also like being creative with clothing design this is the reason why I have my own branded apparel.
What else is happening next in your world?
My main goal is to get my music heard and distributed world wide and to tour and perform to make a name for myself (JC SUAVE)
Second happening is I am getting my fashion brand apparel to the world and I would like to have a few successful films as well .
