We had a showcase for Mr. Hal Davis at The Downtown Cincinnati Playboy Club, and in 1976 was invited to play on television for the Gwen Conley Show in Cincinnati, Ohio. In 1981 we released a Disco single called Get Down, Get Down, which was a midwest hit and was played in heavy rotation on WDAO Radio which was one of the hottest Radio Stations in the midwest. In 1985 we had a showcase for Atlantic Records, In which we were the opening act for the Boogie Boys, They had a nationwide hit single called Fly Girl. we released multiple singles through the course of our career, developing a signature sound which we call C-Pop for Christian Pop. Talk to us more about your latest release
Our Song HIs Door Is Open is a contemporary Pop and Christian song which was written by Del Stewart, and Garry K. Stewart over 25 years ago. But with the state of affairs in the world being what it is, we decided it was time to re-release the song. The message is positive and something that everybody needs to hear. The video just enhances the lyrics- showing everybody of different races and colors coming to together. People need to hear no matter what you are going through, don’t ever give up hope because God is right there for you. Your situation doesn’t matter to God, just reach out to him and come right in, his door is open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. We are incorporating old-school sounds with new school vibes paired with positive lyrics for something that’s truly original. Whatever dreams you may have, it is not over until God says it’s over. Sometimes you have to fight for your dreams. His Door Is Open will uplift your spirits, give you hope for the future because God is already there. Don’t worry about your sin, or where you been, His Door Is Open, just walk on in.
What inspired you to write this release?
Our Mother Corrine Stewart, who was also our manager, which was the inspiration behind His Door Is Open. She always told us you can do all things through Christ, and he will give you the strength to go forward. Don’t worry about your past, with God All Things Are Possible. Our Mother would say, The Lord’s Door Is Open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, just walk on in.
Describe the writing and recording process
The writing and recording process of His Door Is Open was really a God Send. Things just felt right and came together. God lead us to the right recording studio and engineer.
