Getting to know more about TJ Miller !!!

Tell us about yourself and your music

My name is Thelma Miller but I go by ” TJ “. I was born and raised in the mid west..grew up with all genres of music..my uncle had a western band and I guess that really swayed me towards the country. Got married young, probably too young but had a beautiful family and lived a very blessed life. Later sadly, I lost a couple of my daughters and also my husband..was somewhat down as could be expected..when out of the blue. I was given a gift. I don’t mean a material gift.I had started dating a few years after my husband’s passing and to make a long story short.I broke it off and as strange as it may seem while taking a shower..a song came to me out of nowhere and I wrote: “Kick Him to The Curb”. After that first song..it has never stopped and here I am today still writing and singing.

Talk to us more about your latest release

Just recently I released my current album “Living the Dream” because even though I have had trauma in my life I still feel very blessed.
There are 10 songs on the album..nine of which I have written and recorded myself and one cover song of Patsy Cline’s “Sweet Dreams”
My featured song which is one of my latest is “Whatever Happened to Country Music” I wrote it because many of us aren’t very fond of
the current country music, the new country singers are great with what they do but they certainly aren’t true country. So I had to write
a song about how we feel.

What inspired you to write this release?

As my music talent came to me later in life..it would be my dream to have my music heard around the world if possible.

I feel that this avenue with a press release and getting it out to as many outlets as possible could possibly make my dream come true.

Describe the writing and recording process

Found an awesome recording studio and producer and he was a huge help to me with the recording of my songs and he

was the one who urged me to do the album and pursue my dream. I give him loads of credit for getting me to where I am today.

Without his help..it would not have happened. His name is Ryan Whyte Maloney with TruNorth Entertainment in Las Vegas

Any plans to release a video?

As an indie artist, how do you brand yourself and your music to stand out from the rest of the artists out there?

I don’t want to sound like I’m beating my own drum but don’t think many artists started out as late in life as I did..I am

really pretty proud of what I have accomplished in a short period of time.

Who have you been listening to lately?

I love the country and I listen to many the current artists but love Blake Sheldon, Carrie Underwood,

George Strait, Reba, Miranda Lambert, Jason Aldean, Brad Paisley, and the list goes on and on.

Who are your biggest influences?

Patsy Cline was my biggest influence.

Tell us about your passions

My passion ..of course, is music. But my family and faith are above all.

What else is happening next in your world?

I guess I would have to say doing more writing and singing and getting to get more knowledge about my passion.

Would love to meet some of my peers in the future if at all possible in my endeavors.

Thanks for an awesome interview, Thelma Miller
