Feel Life & Music by Kukan Dub Lagan

Tell us about yourself and your music

I’m currently based in Barcelona, Spain.
I am producing music for more than 25 years. Back at the days, I was spinning more trance & techno, Travels all over the world with my music and be one of the 1st ever chill out and electronic Israelis artists to perform worldwide. I produce chill out and dub, well, honestly my own original freestyle where I use Kukan Dub Lagan for more chill side and Sorian for more ethnic-based music.
I’m also managing Feel Life Music Bookings agency, a professional booking agency that concentrates on high-quality music, managing international bookings & representing top-level artists exclusively worldwide. I am providing management & booking services, coordination of events, and much more…
I see myself as one of the leading movement in developing our style of music worldwide in the last 20 years. Small steps, huge change.

Talk to us more about your latest release

I believe that when producing music one always needs to be original and always try surprising Yourself & the audience. Each release should be different, a surfeit of ideas. The album is a journey in search of the fogbow, also known as a ghost rainbow, experiencing the happiness and agony in life as there is always a balance and unbalance. Each one of us is having a journey now moving forward into the Extramundane unknown. We got into this journey because of the pandemic which affected each and every one of us. For many, it is a restart of our reality, whether we like it or not. I wish for listeners to experience the album as a whole journey so the music and sounds will have an impact on them living those moments. Balanced / UnBalanced, Gamut Of Emotions.

What inspired you to write this release?

I like to listen to Ennio Morricone & Nino Rota as I have always been inspired by their music. The album’s main inspirations came from life, family, and our reality these days.

Describe the writing and recording process

I am always working on music and had the time to produce in the last months.  My latest album was about 6 years ago. Every day in my life I explore inspirations and ideas for producing an album. The gigs, traveling worldwide, family, and the emotions behind it brought me into producing an ambient album. Original and freestyle, thinking about the sea and how our lives change every day, every moment. I like to record sounds when traveling and to use them at the end and one complete story. The recoding involves a lot of effects, Analog saturators, piano, synthesizers, a lot of atmospheric energy mixed digital and analog, hybrid style.  The nature behind the soundtrack symbolized for me those moments in our lives and how they can change so fast. I believe that none of us those days living the life we use to and we had to adopt a new reality. The waves, the sea, winds, storms, that small moment in the music reflect the vibes of the album and was very important for finalizing it. You go into a trip in the sea, experiencing a journey that takes you into happiness, sadden, insanity, survival, and at the end hope for a new beginning, or new star, a restart. Each listener needs to experience the journeying his way.

What else is happening next in your world?

In the next few days, I am about to start producing the next Sorian album. The last Sorian album came out in 2011. That’s a long break and it is about time to have a new ethnic psychedelia release. Kukan, with a different vibe, the opposite of the ambient freestyle release, in the works and will join right after. No breaks, pure productive time. Alongside that, I’m planning more events worldwide establishing our agency and artists at the top of the charts.
