Tell us about yourself and your music
My name is Ralph Comfort, But everybody calls me Cowboy Jake. I was born in Philadelphia Pa., but I grew up in the country of many states I lived in. I realized from an early age that I saw life differently from most people, Where the saw trees, streams, and mountains, I saw poems, Where someone told a sad or happy story, I heard a song. I started writing poetry very early in life and to date have been awarded many, many awards for writing, and have been published in over 12 anthologies and I have 1 self-published book titled, Echoes Of The Heart. Some of my earliest songs titled, Where Angels Never Cry and In Your Love Letters were recorded and made available in 1997 on cassette called Hilltop Country. Those recordings encouraged me to write better and more beautiful songs. As of today I have written 143 song lyrics and have 13 tracks on sound cloud, and 7 single releases from Tune core that are on i-tunes. Recently I was featured live on Indie Network Radio and Satellite Tv. Though being a successful songwriter was always important to me, My quest was always to be able to bring happiness with emotion to my listeners. What greater compliment could I ask then to warm the hearts and bring a smile to somebody with my words.

What inspired you to write this release?
This release was written for anyone that has had or has a broken heart for a lost loved one. A tribute to Love.
Describe the writing and recording process
Though the song was written after true life experience, It took many nights of unrest to complete, The process was often filled with emotion and dreaming of times gone by. I am the writer of the song, The recording was made at Nashville Demo Factory where an absolute Angel breathed life and emotion into the lyrics. Unfortunately due to their policy, the artist’s name can not be released at this time.

Any plans to hit the road?
There is no band at this time, Something that is being considered in the near future.
As an indie artist, how do you brand yourself and your music to stand out from the rest of the artists out there?
I write often from true experiences and always from the heart. I get emotionally involved in my songs since that is what my goal is for my listeners, An emotional response is it , joy or tears. I believe the emotion and feeling I put into every song puts me in the world I want to be in.
Who have you been listening to lately?
Well, I am an old cowboy, I still listen to the 70s and 80s soundtracks, some of my favorites are Christine McVie , Ronnie Milsap, and Juice Newton.
Who are your biggest influences?
Actually, it wasn’t any 1 personality, It was the choirs at different churches that made me see the relaxing and peaceful sound of music. I wanted to be part of it.
Tell us about your passions
To bring peace to the world thru compassionate songs.
What else is happening next in your world?
Continuing to write and to bring happiness to everyone with my music. There are many adventures and dreams ahead, every one of them a song.
