Co-Founder of Foxglove Records gives details on upcoming projects

Tell us about yourself and your music

I was always interested in music since I was young and knew that once I had the opportunity to create good music, I would pursue it. I grew up in the city of Montebello and began to work on music in high school. I worked for years with my closest friend and artist Abraxas in the same city. After years of learning the craft and preparing our work, we created and became co-founders of Foxglove Records, which is essentially a team and management group. Alongside artist 2020vzn, the team originated in the city of Montebello. We wanted to create a new sound for our city and be able to be versatile with the vibes we create.

Talk to us more about your latest release

The Foxglove Records camp linked up together in northern California to work on a few upcoming projects such as the newest featured single titled “Encino”. This track is featured with Abraxas as well as 2020vzn, Lil Jube, and SleepyChi.
As for the 2nd installment of a Lavish LB project work, the Official “Lavender“ mixtape will be available for streaming on all platforms in Mid September.

What inspired you to write this release?

A few of the team members linked up in NorCal and work on track when the time was right and vibes were set. Abraxas was already on the track and Lil Jube and SleepyChi hooped on right after. 2020vzn can in to finish the track off with ease. The Lavender tape has been in the works for a few months and once I knew the time felt right the momentum that I and the team are going will only lead to more attention towards the craft. A lot of the music is inspired by various artists like Ronny J, Travis Scott, Trippie Redd, and Young Thug. I know that in the city of Montebello you get a lot of the sounds that Foxglove Records is creating.

Describe the writing and recording process

The writing process isn’t too difficult. The summer up that I have at our studio allows for me and the team to create tracks w no problem. 2020vzn is our main producer and engineer, he has tracks that people have never heard before and a major asset on the team.

Any plans to release a video?

Any plans to hit the road?

There will be a Foxglove Records tour in 2021 in California. It will be a 3 Show Tour in 3 different cities. Sacramento, Los Angeles, and San Diego. At the moment the team is still searching for booking agents to work with.

As an indie artist, how do you brand yourself and your music to stand out from the rest of the artists out there?

I usually rely on my work ethic, organization, and team. There’s a lot of preparation and hard work that goes into creating what we are doing. Although it takes a lot of hours that’s being put in, it always makes it easier when we have access to production and film.

Who have you been listening to lately?

I’ve been listening to Baby Keem, Ronny J, Trippie Redd, Lil Keed, Travis Scott, and Yola Ktwo.

Who are your biggest influences?

Most likely Everyone from Cactus Jack, Young Thug, and Tyler the Creator.

I want to showcase that the thing I find interesting and fun can lead you to a lot of success.

What else is happening next in your world?

I’m working on releasing a team project on the Foxglove Records music account. It will be a collaboration between myself, Abraxas, and 2020vzn. This is set to release in October.
