Artist Interview: Yung EZ Money

Tell us about yourself and your music

Born and raised in Raleigh, NC. Started making music at the age of 10. My mixtape “H.N.I.R.” is coming soon…

Talk to us more about your latest release

this is a song off my cousin Lil’ Bri Feness mixtape called “Keep it Hunnit” off his upcoming mixtape “No Looking Back”

What inspired you to write this release?

Bri needed a single for his project and being we started this music shit together it was only natural for us to do the first single together.

Describe the writing and recording process

I was just getting out of Federal prison on a 5-year bid and hadn’t recorded with him since 2009-2010. So mind you I’m still in the halfway house and gotta be back in at 7 pm. So I make up an excuse like I got to work on a Saturday we recorded and I go to Bri mother crib (who is my aunt) and a friend of the family calls Bri and says,”Yo Eazy said he been gone 5 years and you still ain’t dropped no single or a mixtape…Get yo ass over here.” Long story short he slid through and already had the chorus pre-written. 15 minutes later my verse was laid and he was just finishing his.

Any plans to release a video?

Any plans to hit the road?

not as of yet but visit our Facebook pages at : Eric Kennedy (Eazy-Money) and Brion Sanders (Lil Bri)

As an indie artist, how do you brand yourself and your music to stand out from the rest of the artists out there?

Just try to not sound like EVERYBODY else and getting the audience to accept what you really have to offer is the toughest part. I try to just stick to what I feel sounds right and is the most authentic.

Who have you been listening to lately?

Migos and Bri

Who are your biggest influences?

Pac, Juvenile and Andre 3000

Tell us about your passions

My love-ones inspire me the most.

What else is happening next in your world?

I have two novels I wrote. One is a memoir called ”Big Homie(s)” the other is a fiction action/romance called “The Secret Attraction”… I also have an apparel line called D.U.M.B (Don’t Underestimate My Brilliance) that’s gonna hit the streets like an atomic bomb..

Thanks for an awesome interview, Eric
