Tell us about yourself and your music
My song writing partner and I grew up in Memphis and started song writing when we were 15 & 17. Having been raised on Memphis Music Flavor we have a strong Memphis Roots Sound. We have performed around the Country with artists such as Buddy Guy, Jason Aldean, Bo Diddley (Interesting story about Bo inviting us to his trailer after our show), and more. We have a band of Memphis Brothers that go back 15 years together. We play the best venue on Beale every Thursday night called Rum Boogie Cafe where we get to play Originals and YPT style classic covers.
Talk to us more about your latest release
We release 3 singles this past year that we self produced at Inside Sound in Memphis, which was a studio we were familiar with when we recorded songs as part of the “Fried Glass Onions…Memphis Meets the Beatles” Series.
What inspired you to write this release?
A lot of My Family (Dani) is from Louisiana and Acadia Parish is down there and so Zack and I wrote this song about 2 young Lovers from Acadia Parish that take Acadia with them wherever they go. Always thought it would be a great song for GMC and their Acadia SUV but couldn’t hook up with them.
Any plans to release a video?
If we do it would just be a Youtube Video we create and put together ourselves.
Any plans to hit the road?
We like to travel some but easier to play in and around Memphis in regards to the family. We just booked the King Biscuit Blues Festival where we will play with our great Friend and fellow musician “Billy Gibson” and we are in the Process of booking the National Shrimpfest, which we have played numerous times. We also booked the iHeart Radio Wine on the River Fest in Sept. Would like to play in Europe in 2018. That is a goal.
As an indie artist, how do you brand yourself and your music to stand out from the rest of the artists out there?
We aren’t like any other Band in that we are all from Memphis and have a unique blend of Memphis Flavor (Soul, Funk, Southern Rock and Blues). We have had many people tell us at Rum Boogie we are the best band they have ever heard on Beale and it is because of our Diverse Musicianship, Lead Vocals from 3 diff lead vocalists and our Harmonies.

Tell us about your passions
Double Dose of Dachshund and refinishing wood (furniture, raw wood, scraps, etc…). Zack has 3 kids so he would say they get him out of bed in the morning.
What else is happening next in your world?
Fixing up my house to sell and buy house on some acreage. Celebrating 5 years of Married Bliss in Sept. Maybe try to have my first child over the next year.
