Tell us about yourself and your music
I go by RATED R sing rap and dance. From Gary, In but reside in Minnesota. I look up to Michael Jackson Chris Brown Jacquees Trey Songz and of course August Alsina. My music is for the ladies but I try to reach kids and the streets as well. I like to make music that makes the people and my fans to feel good when they hear my music.
Talk to us more about your latest release
My latest release is with August Alsina which is the person I look up to and is a dream to work with. The song is called won’t Let Go. A song for the ladies and couples out there who have that special person in their life and don’t want them to leave rather sexual physical emotionally and physically.
What inspired you to write this release?
What inspired me to write this release was it came from a personal relationship with a female I was with. I was definitely feeling her.
Any plans to release a video?
I do plan on releasing a video to this song as soon as possible.
Any plans to hit the road?
I do plan on doing more shows and hitting the soon but nothing right now focused on finishing up my next mixtapes which I plan to release in a couple months.
As an indie artist, how do you brand yourself and your music to stand out from the rest of the artists out there?
As an indie artist I brand myself as a sex symbol that makes the women feel good and that puts them in the mood and make my music stand out from the rest of the artists out there is I don’t focus on drugs and downgrading females and don’t talk about killing or robbing people.
Who have you been listening to lately?
I’ve been listening to a lot of Jacquees and Chris Brown lately and of course myself. I also like Cardi B and Nicki Minaj.
Tell us about your passions
My kids are my biggest passion and the reason why I wake up every day to do what I do and love and to keep going. My passion also is to show other young people out there that you can accomplish anything you what as long as you keep going and not let nothing stop you. You gotta stay focused and not give up always stay dedicated.
What else is happening next in your world?
I’m working on a video right now for a s ok ng called Take Her ft. Jigaboi. I plan on going to Miami and Hollywood very soon to do more shows. Just having more fun with my music and becoming greater at what I do. Also a giveaway to the kid’s big party for them and to show appreciation for the support and love.
