Artist Interview: CHIEF CHEEROKE

Tell us about yourself and your music

We’ll I hail from Queens, New York, born and raised. My music is a reflection of me and my experiences through life I started writing at 15 years of age. At first it was spoken word poetry then I started to write songs. When I started recording songs at 28 years of age that is when I found my new found love. iam a solo artist and the head of a duo (CHIEF N ACE ) I have several published albums between the duo and me as a solo artist. (CHIEF CHEEROKE)

Talk to us more about your latest release

Mean Streets is my latest single released on 10/31/2017 it basically is about my neighborhood (Rego Park) Queens, New York where I grew up and some stories of experiences that I went through.

What inspired you to write this release?

The beat. The instrumentals bring the lyrics out of me.

Any plans to release a video?

Yes, I have plans to shoot a video for my latest single. in spring of 2018

 

 

Any plans to hit the road?

I’m currently seeking new management. once I aquire that then it is possible to tour and work my albums.

As an indie artist, how do you brand yourself and your music to stand out from the rest of the artists out there?

I just do what I do, I write and record what I feel as a indie artist you have the power to do so. Full creative control.

Tell us about your passions

Writing and recording music is my passion I believe acting is in me so I wouldn’t mind playing characters in movies.

What else is happening next in your world?

Hopefully I find a good manager that can take me into the acting world.
