Tell us about yourself and your music
Wow.., I’ve been a musician longer than I haven’t . Music is my only way of life . I use it to express just about every experience I’ve ever had.My name is Michael Boykin I’m a Record Producer,Engineer,Musician and songwriter from Philly , a big music town. That being said ,you had to be good! ,also My music is multi genre and multi cultural. Rnb, Pop,Dance ,singersongwriter,Rap,Hip hop, World Music and Gospel. I’ve worked with just about every major label. But these days that doesn’t mean much and I love it! I love the era we are in. I have always believed that music is universal. Now it’s getting much closer to that being more relevant.
Talk to us more about your latest release
I’ve had a few releases ,but My favorite release was a remix/remake of Steve Aoki’s Delirious featuring Kid Ink. I took a chance and did not do a typical dance formatted remix. I remade the whole record, it paid off they loved it . It reached about 33 countries across the world on at least 6 continents.
What inspired you to write this release?
Just the energy of the song , I love music that moves
Any plans to release a video?
No plans to release a video , being as though it was a remix
Any plans to hit the road?
I would love to hit the road , I’ve toured before backing other artists. I’m working on my own project tentatively named “SYNTHETIKREAL” and plan on traveling in support of that project.
As an indie artist, how do you brand yourself and your music to stand out from the rest of the artists out there?
As a producer/artist, I pay close attention to what’s going on but do my own tak

Tell us about your passions
My wife and my daughter are a Big inspiration. I Love art in general, being creative in any way inspires me. I love building and fixing things. riding my bike on the trail is a way I like to relax and reflect
What else is happening next in your world?
I currently licensed a song for a movie that is Internationally distributed and placed on Netflix. Also did music for a couple of products/ brands. Looking forward to licensing more music in those areas.
