Rich R&B songs filled with love and emotion, powered by Jennifer Lang’s unmistakable voice drive the heart and soul of her latest album 3 O’Clock Saturday. Now the New York-based singer-songwriter is preparing to spread her music from coast to coast, beginning with the recent debut of a music video for her up and coming single “Fairy Tales.” Already generating thousands of hits on YouTube since its release, this is her springboard to the next level of her promising career.
A Pine Bluff, Arkansas native turned New York City mover and shaker, Lang grew up in a household filled with love and appreciation for music, singing and performing. Beginning at the age of just 8, she started singing in the church choir and continued honing her now breathtaking vocal tone throughout high school. Her official debut finally burst onto the scene in 2008 with the release of Just a Lang Thing, signaling her first indelible mark upon the face of the R&B and pop music scene.
“What excites me most about music is simple…It’s in your heart beat. It’s in your spirit. Even a guy who can’t carry a tune in a bucket is moved by music,” says Lang.
This same commitment and love for singing, creating and songwriting is clearly evident throughout each and every one of the 14 tracks on 3 O’Clock Saturday, including the breakout “Fairy Tales.” Adopting a true “once upon a time” mentality, the music video takes listeners on a five minute journey down the rabbit hole of Lang’s imagination and passion. Chock-full of brightly colored artwork, symbolic imagery and sultry photos, fans will be treated to a true window into her musical mind.
Plans are currently underway for a promotional tour to coordinate with the “Fairy Tales” music video, which can be streamed on YouTube now. 3 O’Clock Saturday and Just a Lang Thing can be purchased from digital retailers such as CD Baby, and fans can visit Lang’s official website for more photos, pictures and streaming audio.
