The annual Super Bowl half time extravaganza is growing by the minute in 2012, as LMFAO is rumored to be joining Madonna during the February 5 game between the New York Giants and New England Patriots. Following announcements of Nicki Minaj, M.I.A. and Cee Lo Green signing on for the performance, this is shaping up to be one of the largest Super Bowl shows to date.
Will.i.am broke the news this week on Capital FM, saying “I’m going to the Super Bowl this year to see my group LMFAO perform with Madonna. Check that out, Will.i.am Music Group is pretty freaking two for two! One year the Super Bowl, the next year another group part of the Super Bowl in collaboration with Madonna. That’s still happening.”
The show will also feature the famous Canadian circus act Cirque du Soleil, along with choreography from Madonna’s creative director Jamie King.
Reports on the set list are surfacing already, indicating hits such as “Ray of Light,” “Vogue,” and “Music,” as well as Madonna’s new single “Give Me All Your Luvin.” The singer’s first album in almost four years, M.D.N.A. is slated for release later this year.
