Fans of one of America’s best pop stars are in for another treat this spring, as Katy Perry is preparing to re-release her smash success, Teenage Dream on March 13. Containing extra tracks which didn’t make the first cut of the album, the reworked LP has been dubbed The Complete Confection, and sees Perry reworking some tunes with producer Tricky Stewart.
There’s no official track listing for the project yet, but Stewart let fans in on the idea this fall during an interview with MTV News.
“Katy and I went into [the studio] just to address some issues with records that we had done in the past that didn’t end up going on Teenage Dream. So we are in the process of just listening and freshening things up and getting ready for something special she has going on,” he said.
Following the original double platinum track listing, the one known song will be “Dressing Up,” and appears to be a possible hit in the making.
“It’s going to be a big record, I think…it definitely fits. It’s right there in what her sensibilities are as a musician and a songwriter,” said Stewart.
While fans eagerly away the re-release this coming March, Perry is also slated to appear at the 54th Grammy Awards, where the song “Firework” has been nominated for Record of the Year and Best Pop Solo Performance.
