FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

MICKEY FINN DEPARTS FROM JETBOY

LOS ANGELES, CA - 11/12/10

Mickey Finn, original vocalist for Jetboy, has officially announced his split from the band as of mid-September when Finn announced he would not be able to take part in a planned European tour. Jetboy has chosen to continue without Finn and the jaunt will take place November 12 through mid December. The tour also coincides with Now and Then, a collection of the group’s greatest hits, and the re-release of 1990’s Damned Nation.

“I wish the guys the best but from here on out they should start fresh and change their name because it’s just not Jetboy anymore,” said Finn. He continued on, saying “I apologize to all the Jetboy fans who will be disappointed by this news and thank you for your support over the years.”

Finn formed the band with long time friends Billy Rowe and Fernie Rod during 1983 in San Francisco. After signing a major label deal with Elektra Records in 1986, Jetboy relocated to Los Angeles, where they continuously churned out records for almost 15 years. During Finn’s tenure with the group, they established themselves as one of the premier alternative hard rock bands in Southern California, while creating a dedicated and passionate fan base.

Finn has been working tirelessly with a new band for the last year dubbed Cold Blue Rebels, featuring Danny Dangerous and Joe Normal formerly of the Zeros, and Spazz Draztik from the Glamour Punks. The horror themed, down and dirty psycobilly outfit quickly generated buzz throughout California with their energetic and entertaining live performances, allowing the quick release of their first single; “Cold, Blue and Beautiful.” Cold Blue Rebels have recently signed a deal with Horror High Records and their debut Blood Guts and Rock N Roll will be released worldwide on 1/11/11.

Finn is currently available for interviews with anyone seeking the full story on his departure from Jetboy, as well as in depth details on Cold Blue Rebels.
