Weapons of Minor Disruption’s Eerie Psychedelic Journey on “The Shoreline Sessions”
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Seattle, WA — January 8, 2016 — Weapons of Minor Disruption offer a strange and trippy psychedelic folk experience with their new EP and music film entitled “The Shoreline Sessions.”
The debut EP from Seattle project Weapons of Minor Disruption is a unique collection of tunes that range from folk to psychedelic to alternative and beyond, with a seamless blend of musical styles and genres. The five tunes on “The Shoreline Sessions” are catchy yet thought-provoking and provide an interesting view into the mind of an outsider.
“The Shoreline Sessions” has also been released as a short movie featuring music videos for all five songs. The film chronicles WoMD mastermind Rob Loncto’s trip down the Pacific Northwest shore, from Seattle to Oregon and through the Redwood Forest and San Francisco. The psychedelic nature of the music is enhanced through a combination of scenic footage and tantalizing video effects.
The music of “The Shoreline Sessions” was brought to life at the legendary Robert Lang Studios in Shoreline, WA. Loncto took a minimalist approach to the recording, using only classical guitar, bass, hand drum, tambourine, toy maraca and synthesizer app on his phone to complement his singing throughout the EP.
