Rough Guitar, Grand Piano—It’s The Chosen Spirit
18 Months of Collaboration Brings Together A Unique Sound
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Rugby, Warwickshire, United Kingdom – March 1st, 2016 – A chance meeting of two buskers has led to the special sound of The Chosen Spirit, where grand piano meets rough around the edges guitar for a sound that’s quite unlike anything many listeners will have heard coming into 2016. Volume 1 of 7 has been released and can be found on all major online music retailers. The rest of the volumes will be released in the coming months.
“You could say we got our act together,” says guitarist Pete Leah. “Right now we have four volumes of material ready for release, with a fifth in the works. Our plan is to release Taster Sessions records fairly regularly over the next couple of years—it’s going to be a lot of fun!”
The band had their festival debut in the Summer of 2015, and plan to go on a festival tour in 2016 around the British county of Warwickshire. Alongside plans to play local gigs, the band’s eclectic influences include indie, boogie woogie, gospel, jazz and grunge to name a few—and the mix is a winsome combination for audiophiles across Great Britain and beyond.
