Reggae artiste Prophecy album one of the best reggae album for the year 2011. (Break Loose)

St Thomas, Jamaica — June 13, 2018 — Prophecy’s Album Break Loose: This fourteen track album is definitely a collector must have. Some has described this St Thomas born singer as the next big name is reggae music.
Some of the heavyweights in the music business said that he sounds very much like Peter Tosh, Bob Marley, and Bunny Wailer.

Prophecy is a devoted Rastafarian who lives and worships according to the principles and teachings of His Imperial Majesty Emperor Haile Selassie I.His utterances promote righteousness and a positive outlook towards mankind. Prophecy’s musical style is impacted by roots reggae, rocksteady and dub music which are embedded at the roots of Jamaica’s music culture and my musical influences and inspirations came from music legends Bob Marley, Peter Tosh, Bunny Wailer and Burning Spear who were the trailblazers for his generation. The Singer is an activist for change with a passion for the young and the less fortunate. He started a book initiative for school children in St. Thomas and he can often be seen feeding the homeless.

In 2002, Prophecy did three AIDS awareness concerts in South Africa along with Rita Marley, Chakademus and Pliers, Morgan Heritage and Canadian band Full Vibes.

Born Rohan A Brown, Prophecy first came to national prominence in 2005 when he won the Red Stripe Big Break Competition with “Don’t Come to Tell Me”.

Prophecy, the deep-voiced Rastafarian singer from Lyssons, St Thomas, has been sticking to his roots reggae music conviction for a long time. Although he first got real national attention through the IRIE FM Big Break Competition, which he won in 2005, seven years prior to that he entered the Jamaica Cultural Development Commission (JCDC) Popular Song Contest with Higher Ground, placing in the top 10.
