Radiolab release new EP

FREDERICK, MD – Dane Di Pierro
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
November 2011 Frederick, MD
Synthesizers, stomp boxes and Souxie-esque vocals, but this ain’t the 80s.
Maryland duo Radiolab take their ques from relatively modern bands who manage to balance pop sensibilities with an unflinching experimental spirit. The band, which features The Capstan Shafts guitarist Dane Di Pierro and vocalist Meghan Redding, released their debut “Sometimes Casual Confusion” last year garnering the attention of podcasts and college radio stations in the US and UK.
Like last years debut, 2011’s Phantom Limb EP features several spacey post-rock excursions, but there’s a new sense of focus and song craft on the first half that draw closer comparisons to Electrelane and The Kills. Over the course of this five track EP Radiolab touches on club beats and trip hop to synth fueled funk and post-rock. As Resonance Vibes puts it, “Combining elements of indie rock and electronica, and occasional samples from film, Radiolab gives new meaning to the term music artist.”
Phantom Limbs will be available digitally 11/11/11 and through Amazon on demand. For questions, comments and booking info contact firstname.lastname@example.org.
