BELGIAN BAND BAÏKI BACK ON FORM WITH LATEST ALBUM
“A Self-Made Production for a Self-Made Artist”, Globalienation Getting Hits
Mellet, Hainaut Belgium – December 5th, 2014 – Formed in 2001 and drawing its name from the Polish word bajki, which means “tales/stories”, Belgian band Baïki has beefed up their sound lately with even more of that sweet rock and roll sauce.
Baïki consists of Phil B. (guitar, lead vocals) plus three other musicians, Marc Donéa (guitar, backing vocals), Axel Marcelis (bass guitar, backing vocals) and Hugues Allart (drums, backing vocals).
The band is an experienced live outfit, with over 50 concerts across Belgium, France and Germany and four studio CDs, the latest of which is entitled Globalienation, an album that takes a satirical look at the world around us.
“It’s not about the politics,” explains Phil B, lead vocalist. “It’s more about looking at the world around us through a slanted lens. This album deals with the complexity of a man doing his best to fit into the wheels in motion of a cynical world. By doing that, we’re constantly spinning in a universe full of satire and, more importantly, emotional release.”
Globalienation and other music can be purchased from Baïki direct on their website, or from respected online merchants such as iTunes and Amazon.
Pronounced “Bikey”, Baïki is an indie-rock band hailing from Belgium known for their multilingual work. The band tries to convey messages about the world through its music and lyrics, and where man best fits into it all. For more information, please visit Baïki’s website.
