LOS ANGELES, CA – There is no classifying when it comes to twenty-four year old multi-instrumentalist and composer MONIKA as she writes, records, performs and produces all of her own music. Her songs are melodic, simple with a tinge of technical; and range from a wide palette of pop to punk to indie-tronic. Her repertoire is diverse both conceptually and sonically, spanning a variety of genres and instruments, but at the core of all the songs is a fundamentally sound song structure and melody. The songs have an alluring ability to be visceral and exciting yet familiar and palatable.

Monika’s musicianship began at age four starting out on the piano and later moving on to the violin, guitar, bass and drums. She has been in and out of rock and roll bands, orchestras, jazz bands and acoustic duets for the last thirteen years touring extensively both Northern and Southern California venues.

With her premiere full-length LP, “Music’s Not Dead Yet, she has already garnered a significant amount of buzz and interest. Her song “Just Drive was selected for the Pop/Rock Feedback Panel at the 2012 ASCAP EXPO. She signed a licensing deal with Zoobie Inc. and her music has aired on the LOGO Network for the show “Eden’s World in April 2012. Her music has also been featured in commercials for John August’s (Big Fish, Charlie’s Angels: Full Throttle) FDX Reader application for the iPad.

She is currently supporting the album by performing local Los Angeles venues such as Hotel Cafe, Whiskey a Go-Go, Key Club, House of Blues, Universal Bar and Grill, Room 5 and Ghengis Cohen etc.
