DENVER, CO – SUN COMES UP consists of thirteen original tracks written by Green River Vibe front man, Alex Mackenzie-Low, and produced by drummer, Chris Harris at Crown Line Music. “The album is a progressive mixture of reggae, rock, hip-hop, electronic, and folk music, says Mackenzie-Low, elaborating on the stylistic range of the record. A broad spectrum of music lovers will appreciate the eclectic nature of the album, as it spans from a track featuring DJ Knobby Roots, to a psychedelic, sitar/didgeridoo ballad. Sun Comes Up clearly illustrates Green River Vibe’s commitment to breaking the molds of artistic limitation.
All five members of Green River Vibe met while attending the University of Colorado Denver as music majors. Since their first collaboration in early 2011 where the band was thrown into a last minute headlining gig at Old Curtis Street Pub, the band has proven to be productive, frequently gigging all aver the greater Denver area. In particular, G.R.V. has performed the likes of Cervantes Masterpiece Ballroom, Summit Music Hall, and the Marquis Theatre to name a few. As an aspiring group for UCD’s CAM Records, the band has set themselves up for a successful road ahead.
