Strong Influences of Mike Oldfield and Jean-Michel Jarre

Chesterfield, Derbyshire, United Kingdom – January 31st, 2016 – From the old school decks of computer based-music, Richard Phillips unique sound tells of the hallmarks of some of the great electronic music artists of the 1980s—with a touch of Boards of Canada and AIR picked up along the way.

The veteran musician, from the market town of Chesterfield in the UK, has built up a solid fan base in the past years with an online musical presence that has frequently been described as characterful and melodic.

“I’m very proud of the music I put out,” said Richard today. “Lately, I’ve also been creating a new style, and specifically working on a new art theme. I believe it’s a little like Tangerine Dream with my own influences woven into it.”

Richard’s main ambition is to create melodic soundtracks for independent movies or adverts, and samples of the music he creates—along with the appreciative reviews of his fans.
