Dreadhead Gillie and Emmanuel Obamas Join Forces as Commander & Chief
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Louisville, Kentucky – May 26, 2016 – Having spent their lives together, brothers Jermaine and Renaldo Gill grew up in the same household and therefore began to be influenced by the sounds that shaped not only their childhoods – but what was to be their futures as well. As the years passed, each fell into who they were as adults. Each started to create their own sound, and with that – an alternate persona; Dreadhead Gillie and Emmanuel Obamas.
Obamas started writing lyrics at the tender age of 14-years-old, and some years later his younger brother was inspired to do the same and started doing so at 20. Over the years each had done their own thing, Obamas winning earning the top spot in a radio contest hosted by Nikki Love, and later starting a label in 2010; Commander and Chief Entertainment LLC. Now he and his brother are together, working as the face of this company and pushing out music any and everywhere.
Pushing their music, they’ve done a great job at getting their names out there by playing live. In the past year they’ve shared the stage with Yo Gotti, Young Jeezy and Juvenile, performed at King of Diamonds in Miami, and attended the SXSW Conference down in Austin, TX. Plus been featured on DJ Smalls’ The Eye Opener via an interview. Not to mention Smalls will be dropping a mixtape soon featuring this pair.. Next up they’ll be opening things up at the Atlanta Annual Celebrity Birthday Bash Block Party on June 18, 2016 in Atlanta, GA where fans can hear their latest single, “Going Crazy.”
