Moses Zamangwa: a sought-after saxophonist. He started music as a guitarist when he was 8 years old, but in 2010 he decided to switch to Saxophone. He has been playing Alto Saxophone for 7 years now.
In 2015, he released an audio album, Yote Kwa Yesu – which is the instrumental gospel hymns. The album has performed well in the instrumental genre and local Christian music market. Yote Kwa Yesu became more popular among local Christian congregations.
Zamangwa has international performing experience. He has performed in countries like Indonesia, Turkey, Qatar, German, France, Switzerland, Australia and Lithuania working as saxophonist with the company called Mother Africa which is based in Germany. He has also worked with company called Phoenix which is based in Paris.
Zamangwa plays Afro-Jazz, contemporary jazz fusion, gospel music, Tanzanian traditional music, soft rock and Latin. He also always fuse Jazz with Mganda, Chihoda, Lizombe, Ligambusa, Lindeku, Kingwangwa – these are traditional music from Songea, Tanzania.
He does private saxophone lessons but he also volunteers to teach kids and young musicians on how to play saxophone.
