Artist Interview: Solo Artist
Tell us about yourself and your music
I have 30 years experience in music I write , arrange and produce all my own music. I play guitar , bass , keyboards and do all the drum programming for my music. My music is a combination of Rock and Alternative Rock. My influence’s range from the classic rock of the 60’s and the driving guitar work of Van Halen and Joe Satriani. The only aspect of my music I collaborate on are the vocals.
Talk to us more about your latest release
My first solo titled Out of The Dark was released in 2015 it contains driving guitar work and melodic vocal lines which is a trademark of my music. The album has had a lot of air play in Canada ,U.S. UK and Australia and continues to attract fans at this time. I am currently working on my second album for a 2017 release. This album will raise the bar for continuing the hard edged guitar style that Michael produces.
What inspired you to write this release?
My first album was inspired by an event that happened on stage in 2014 when at the beginning of the show my heart completely stopped. During my recovery I was inspired to write some of the tracks from Out of The Dark.
Any plans to release a video?
At this time I have one video from an instrumental from Out of The Dark titled Wind at My Back and one that will be on the new album which is titled Strangers Among US. Both of these tracks have been featured on other compilation album by my distributor Factor Fast Records
Any plans to hit the road?
There are no plans for a tour at this time

I listen to a lot of indie artist’s that I have had the pleasure of meeting like Second Player Score , Four Skulls , Strawkites and many more but I always find myself returning to my roost of classic rock and hard rock to continue the the forward progress of my music and sound.
Tell us about your passions
The thing that gets me up in the morning is my love for life , family , golf and to continue the support of all the indie artist’s and radio station’s I have been associated with.
What else is happening next in your world?
