Artist Interview: Pat Wisted
Tell us about yourself and your music
I am a singer/songwriter with more emphasis on songwriter. Most of my music is based on mine or someone close to me life experiences. I love to tell a story with my music and hope that anyone listening to it can relate to something in their life. I have been writing and preforming for 40+ years and have in the last 10 years or so been doing less preforming and more writing. I have been married to my biggest fan and driving force for 40 years
Talk to us more about your latest release
My latest release was a song called Lonely Christmas Eve which was about losing someone close to me and how I coped with the loss
What inspired you to write this release?
I had lost my father last April and this was my first Christmas without him and it brought on the inspiration for the song and to help me with the healing process
Any plans to release a video?
I did put a video together at Christmas time but it was just for family and friends I plan on putting something together for next Christmas with a little more time and effort
Any plans to hit the road?
At this time I have no plans to tour
As an indie artist, how do you brand yourself and your music to stand out from the rest of the artists out there?
At one time I would have said I was different in my style but as newer country came out I found I fit in with that style
Who have you been listening to lately?
I’ve become in the last little while a big Keith Whitley fan but still hold my roots which are classic rock ie: Pink Floyd, Led zeppelin and bands from that era
Tell us about your passions
My biggest passion is mechanics I spent the last 40 years turning wrenches and still love to tear something apart and put it back together when my mind is cluttered and I can’t find inspiration puttering with an engine seems to clear my mind
What else is happening next in your world?
At this time I am working on new songs for another album
Thanks for an awesome interview, Pat!
