Artist Interview: P.S.Y.C.
Tell us about yourself and your music
Contagious lyrics, powerful message and tracks that make your body move and your mind work. Artist P.S.Y.C. of Sic Logic is bringing an innovational sound to the hip hop culture. In his most recent track “Ain’t About” he has teamed up with two fellow members of #Teamunfuxwitable artists Deadbeat and J. Ames to create a dope southern tempo single which will be featured on Coast 2 Coast newest mixtape vol. 305, hosted by the one and only Boosie BadAzz.
P.S.Y.C.’s biggest musical influence has been Bone Thugs and Harmony. He channels their originality in his own music like the hustler’s anthem “all day all night” produced by JStaffz available on ITunes and the gritty ballad “Loyalty” ft. Young Murdoc and Yung Tuck which has over 150,00 plays combined. This Cali native has been tearing up his market for a couple years now. Opening for legendary acts such as Spice 1, Outlawz, Suga free, And Too short and being featured on a number of top name hosted mixtapes has helped P.S.Y.C. gain a solid following from the west coast to Australia.
On the mission to become a household name P.S.Y.C. has created his own lane. #Hydratehiphip “which in essence is to recreate, reestablish, and recalibrate the rap game.” As an integral part of many groups such as #Teamunfuxwitbale, #Stayambitous, Circle Henge Family, I 3 Music Group and Loud Militia, this solo powerhouse holds his own and then some.
“I am encouraging the art of opening your mind never fall to the ways of others, be yourself, live life as it is meant to be.” This is a peak into the mind of a standout artist and standup guy. The final piece to his trilogy “Lyrically Contagious” is sure to place him in the top tier with the great songwriters of our time.
