Artist Interview: O Z Swagg Music
Tell us about yourself and your music
I’m an independent artist that enjoys different genres of music. In between ages 9 and 10 I didn’t know what I was actually doing but tried to write songs without having access or the budget for studio time. With an unfortunate demise of my dad passing away from cancer I was in between the streets and different family homes until age 14 when I moved back with my uncle.
After then I started collecting microphones & equipment while trying home recording until I’d found a professional based studio in Little Rock, Ar. I really didn’t have a stage name so I just used OZ from what the streets gave me but it was only after being released from incarceration of a youth home facility for 8 months that I’d became focused and dedicated at taking my passion of recording music much more serious.
I was introduced to great producers Chris Davis and Tyron T.O. Oliver by family member Reggie Stewart in connection of being recorded and mixed by late engineer Reggie McClellan to whom I was introduced by Mr. Davis. I’m also thankful to work behind the scenes with producers Steve T.C.F. Cooley, Joe Church, Joey Gee and other inspiring producers supporting my production company Not Faulty and GSPN publishing.
I previously performed at Powers Ultra Lounge May 18, 2017 and was schedule to return July 13 ,2017 although it was cancelled do to the unfortunate June 30, 2017 Club shooting while including 28 victims being injured. I’m now looking to promote and expand venues nation wide and international as well as I continue to grow my fan base daily.
