Artist Interview: Midwest Chess

Tell us about yourself and your music

I grew up in Columbus, Ohio, I’ve lived all over the world, One of my favorite places to visit is New York, or even Paris, France. I enjoy writing music, i have been writing music since i was 12 years old. My music is what i call fun music, or music that describes how i’m feeling at the time. i enjoy spending times with the wife and kids when i’m not working on a music project.

Talk to us more about your latest release

My latest release is called I’m going to shine featuring Dame Dollarz, the song talks about shining, whatever you do in life just shine. of course i have other releases i’m working on my new one is called All i want is you, love song featuring AIREL.

What inspired you to write this release?

What inspired me to writing this release? i think it was my experience in traveling all around the globe, no matter what city or club i perform or step in or what beach i’m on, I’m going to shine. Like Lebron James on the b ball court.

Any plans to release a video?

Yes Soon.

 

 

Any plans to hit the road?

nothing on schedule yet, but hopefully i hit all the major cities this summer.

As an indie artist, how do you brand yourself and your music to stand out from the rest of the artists out there?

My music is fun music, i want my fans just to enjoy the night out.

Who have you been listening to lately?

DRAKE, CHAINSMOKERS, KANYEWEST OR SOMETIMES CURRENCY OR EVEN ADELE OR BIEBER, I JUST LIKE MUSIC, 21 PILOTS ARE AWESOME TOO, THEY GREW UP IN MY HOMETOWN BUT THEY HAVE SOME OF THE BEST MUSIC OUT.

my kids or working out making sure i stay fit, but just life and being happy,

What else is happening next in your world?

traveling around the globe, hopefully doing shows all over
