Artist Interview: Krazyyoungking
Tell us about yourself and your music
I’m 25 from Indiana. I grew up in a lot of trouble, and I use my music to escape the stress I’ve brought upon myself. I also use my music to tell my fans how I have succeeded with little or less. I give hope in my verses that anyone can succeed if I can.
Talk to us more about your latest release
I’ve released 2 mixtapes and am now working on singles. I own all rights to my lyrics and videos and my own production group, LezGetIt Prod.
What inspired you to write this release?
‘Still’ is a great example of how real the struggle can be, but the inspiration behind the song shows people how well I can relate to their struggle.
Any plans to release a video?
I wrote the single a while back- I was arrested shortly after the song dropped, but I’m sure a video wouldn’t hurt. I plan on shooting it summer 2017.
Any plans to hit the road?
I have plenty of shows in Chicago in June. I’m going to SXSW in March and I really plan on traveling a lot ….nothing dated just yet.
As an indie artist, how do you brand yourself and your music to stand out from the rest of the artists out there?
I try to keep things as original as possible.
Who have you been listening to lately?
Young Dolph, 21 Savage, Gucci Mane, Whitenight, Young Juko, Mvjor, Yo Gotti, MoneyBagg Yo, Lil Durk.
Tell us about your passions
God, My Kids, and Money…in that order.
What else is happening next in your world?
I have been free almost a year now and about to be off papers. I will be making a move from IL to GA.
Thanks for an awesome interview, Krazy!
