Artist Interview: Deryck Sterne
Tell us about yourself and your music
I do not have an active band. I compose music using Music Software and Sampling Software and achieve very good results. I have not been musically trained but taught myself to play the flute some years ago. Music has been spiritually imparted to me from my childhood. I have already composed almost 1000 music scores.
I decided some time ago that I would select some of what I consider to be my best pieces and make them available to those who would purchase the pieces which please them.
I do not compose to complement any specific genre. My first uploads to Cdbaby.com was clasified as Easy Listening. Currently I am focussed on making what I have done available to listeners. The music is all instrumentals.
I am a member of The London Seventh-day Adventist male Voice Choir. I have recorded a few vocal pieces. Some time later by God’s grace I will record more vocal pieces.
What inspired you to write this release?
As stated previously many individuals ask the question: Is It Likely in reference to various aspects of life. Usually the question is raised when an individual queries reciprocal emotional feelings of fondness returned from other persons that they have met and developed fondness.
Any plans to release a video?
Yes, as soon as I have secured better music composition software.
Any plans to hit the road?
No plans as I have no band. I will continue to compose music with music creation software.
As an indie artist, how do you brand yourself and your music to stand out from the rest of the artists out there?
Unique Spiritual instrumental music compositions created using music software.
Who have you been listening to lately?
Anita Baker, Stevie Wonder, Ray Charles, Third World, Deryck Sterne.
Tell us about your passions
My daily study from God’s Word (The Holy Scriptures).
What else is happening next in your world?
Looking for the signs/way marks/ prophecies before the return of Jesus Christ.
Thanks for an awesome interview, Deryck!
