Artist Interview: Big ham
Tell us about yourself and your music
I’ve been recording music since about 2009. I have three mixtapes out. Two as a solo artist as well as one with my group the roundtable regime. I consider my music somewhat conscious but kind of hardcore. It depends on the mood I am in. LOL
Talk to us more about your latest release
I am currently finishing up my thoughts of the mind EP. The recordings are done. I am now in the process of doing the last 3 videos as all the songs will have a video attached. Our recent release by the Roundtable Regime is titled Old Testament Vol 1. A collection of quality tracks that didn’t make the Genesis Album/Mixtape.
What inspired you to write this release?
I am inspired by life and when I hear the beat I just jot it down
Any plans to release a video?
I am thinking of releasing this video in my hometown of Madison Illinois.
Any plans to hit the road?
None at this moment. Next plan is A3C this fall.
As an indie artist, how do you brand yourself and your music to stand out from the rest of the artists out there?
I just continue to be myself and speak from my heart and experiences. Its no gimmicks with me. Everything in my background is really me. No box I am trying to squeeze in.
Who have you been listening to lately?
A lot of 80’s R&B. ALternative Rock and of course HipHop.
Tell us about your passions
I love to learn. I am currently a college student. Everyday is a new day to experience.
What else is happening next in your world?
Looking to manage a few artist. I have an artist by the name of Qsberg who is in the process of receiving his VISA to come to the US. I want to get him booked with shows to get him off and running. I am looking to get more into the songwriting world as well so artist looking to collab on a fiyah track get at me!!! LOL
Thanks for an awesome interview, Aaron!
