Tell us about yourself and your music
Born Ramhazz Khaliph Mustafa Corley stage name Aura from North Philadelphia, PA. At the age of 5, Aura heard his uncle cutting and scratching Hip Hop music that’s when he fell in love. He start writing music when he attended West Virginia State University. After graduating WVSU in 2010 Aura started to take music more seriously. He style of Hip Hop is smooth and witty with a mix of street. Aura loves the art of storytelling, poetry, bars and new wave trap music. Mix all them together and you have Aura.
Talk to us more about your latest release
I just released a new video called Heavy Medicated. It’s about the trails and tribulations of life and how we cope with it.
What inspired you to write this release?
Just going through a tough time in my life and decided to write about.
Any plans to release a video?
Just released a new video. Heavy Medicated.
Any plans to hit the road?
I have a show February 4 (Silky J’s in Hurricane, WV) and the 24th (The Barbary in Philadelphia).
As an indie artist, how do you brand yourself and your music to stand out from the rest of the artists out there?
Well I try to just be me. I use the new wave of music but I use punchlines and a smoother flow.

I been listening to Fabolous, Trey Songz, Beanie Sigel, The Lox, Kevin Gates, J Cole,Blac Youngsta, Jay-z, Jeezy and Yo Gotti
Tell us about your passions
My family. I just want the best of my family. I want to move them out of the hood. The young guys and girls in the hood also. Just want to motivate them. Show them it’s more to this world.
What else is happening next in your world?
About to have a new baby. Dropping an EP February 20th. Doing more videos.
