Tell us about yourself and your music

I started singing in the children’s choir at church as a little girl. I love all kinds of music but myer favorite is gospel, opera, and jazz music. Years ago I worked with Dr. Carter from the Morgan State University choir. I was able to even sit in on a Master class with Leontyne Price once. It was the most magnificent experience I have had with music. I was also able to work with Baltimore Opera music coach Milagros Wilson who taught me classical operatic music. I have been able to sing at ArtScape for the Cultural Alliance. I have performed for non-profits, church, businesses and family events. I truly love to sing. My passion is singing inspirational music. I am also a writer, director producer of Christian films. My music video “You’re Not Alone” is on youtube and I wrote, directed, produced and performed in it. Talk to us more about your latest release

I am so excited that listeners enjoy hearing “You’re Not Alone”! This song is truly a blessing to me in knowing that I am not alone and that God is always there for me. Many times we go through challenges in our everyday life and it is good to know that we can find peace in knowing that God will guide and help us find the answers to life’s problems. So I pray for all of you and your families to be blessed everyday with joy and love as you live your life. God Bless!

What inspired you to write this release?

I am a poet. I was inspired to write this song for my sister when we were children. She really was a wayward teenager and used to run away from home from time to time. I was so worried about her. I wrote her a poem. As years went by I decided to make a song from my poem. The poem became a very inspiring piece. I used to perform it at open mics. People would always come up and tell me how inspiring the poem was too them.

Any plans to release a video?

‘You’re Not Alone is a music video with heart which is shown through the artist display of emotion performing this piece. The story is conveyed through a beautiful little girl and her very attractive mother who has suffered from hard times. It is through this little girl’s prayers that we see the life of her parents change and how important it is to believe and have faith in God during these trying times.

Any plans to hit the road?

I have performed at nursing homes during the fall and music in the park events during the summer.
